Firma WEREMCZUK is the biggest manufacturer of currant harvesters in the world. The company manufactures half-row currant harvesters as well as full-row self-propelled currant harvesters for large-area plantations. We have more than 25 years of experience in currant harvesting as well as our own design-research office and experienced employees. Our currant harvesters work successfully on the currant plantations in Poland, in all countries of the European Union where currant is grown as well as in Canada and USA.
VICTOR harvester is a specialized self-propelled harvester of first choice for professional harvesting of currants and black chokeberry. The harvester is perfectly suitable for plantations of area from 30-40 hectares to several hundred hectares.
First models of the harvester were introduced to the market more that 10 years ago and won approval of the users. The approval of the users is confirmed by the awards received by the harvester.
After 10 years we can say that our harvester is well-known and esteemed by berry and black chokeberry growers all over the world for its quick and efficient operation, perfect quality of harvested fruits and technological and design solutions employed in the machine that make it possible to adapt the harvester to requirements of each plantation. Currant harvesting on the largest plantations in the world, that are located in Poland, is carried out only by VICTOR harvesters.
Design of the working and driving units of the harvester has been prepared by Firma Weremczuk in cooperation with the Research Institute of Pomology and Floriculture in Skierniewice. The Institute has been developing mechanical harvesting of berry for more than 30 years. VICTOR harvester has been designed and adapted to working on several-dozen-hectare-plantations where fruit bushes are planted in espaliers without any supports. The minimum spacing of rows is 3.70 m. Such conditions make it possible to obtain very good quality of fruits and high fruit yield.
VICTOR harvester is equipped with the fruit harvesting system based on a pair of units for shaking off fruits that are arranged with regard to each other in the shape of letter “V”. The combination of this system with the optimal geometry of flow of fruit bushes through the unit for shaking off fruits and the use of self-aligning suspension system guarantees almost 100% harvesting effectiveness, without any damage to fruit bushes, and makes it possible to harvest up to 20 ton of very good quality fruits from one hectare.
Because the working units and driving units are hydraulically-driven, the harvester has a wide range of adjustments available that makes it possible to adapt the working parameters to requirements of a given plantation. The following parameters of the harvester can be regulated:
- fruit shaking off force,
- the cleaning fans’ draught force,
- travelling speed of the conveyors’ belts.
Hydraulic systems of the harvester: The hydraulic systems for the driving units and working units of the harvester are based mainly on specialized hydraulic equipment made by renowned European companies.
VICTOR harvester is designed for harvesting fruits from bushes starting from the second year of fruit-bearing.
Berry harvesting in the first year of fruit-bearing is also possible but accuracy of harvesting may be lower than 98%, depending on the size of bushes (the higher the bushes, the higher harvesting accuracy).
We offer special-design attachments for harvesting fruits during the second year of fruit-bearing. Such attachments considerably increase accuracy of harvesting.
The harvester can be equipped with two types of harvesting heads: harvesting heads for currants (gooseberry) or harvesting heads for black chokeberry. The harvesting heads for black chokeberry work with a higher amplitude of vibrations than the harvesting heads for currants. Such increased amplitude of vibrations is suitable for harvesting black chokeberry fruits.
The harvesters can be manufactured in numerous versions depending on cultivation, size of fruit bushes and requirements for acceptance of fruits.
According to the Customer’s requirements, the harvester can be equipped with various systems of fruit collection:
- collection of fruits to standard boxes and box-pallets – standard version and extra-standard version with larger working platforms
- collection of fruits by means of a side conveyor to the next row
- collection of fruits to boxes or box-pallets that are located on euro pallets and unloaded by means of hydraulic lifts (lowered to the ground level)
VICTOR harvester fulfils all standards and requirements of the European Union with regard to machine safety. As a standard, each seeder is delivered with the instruction manual prepared in one of the following languages: Polish, English, Russian or German. Other language versions of the instruction manual are available on special request of the customer.
